1年生を迎える会

Today we had our Grade 1 Welcome Assembly. We met all the grade 1 students and gave them lots of presents made by everyone. Although the Grade 1 were a bit nervous, they were very happy to be welcomed by the older students. They have already made lots of new friends not just in the classroom but in their Sports Day Teams from other grades. I hope the Grade 1 enjoy their first year at Elementary and I’m sure all the older students will watch over them and help them adjust to school life.

今日は1年生を迎える会がありました。1年生全員にみんなで作ったたくさんのプレゼントを贈りました。1年生は少し緊張していましたが、上級生の歓迎にとても喜んでいました。教室だけでなく、運動会の練習で他の学年のチームメイトともたくさんの新しい友達ができました。1年生が、小学校での最初の1年間を楽しんで過ごせることを願っています。上級生の皆さんも見守り、学校生活に慣れるのを手伝ってくれるでしょう。
