本校の特徴は、日本の学習指導要領による教育をベースに抜群の英語力を身につけさせるバイリンガル教育を進めています。バイリンガル教育を成功させるためには、第1言語の高い基礎学力を身につけさせることが大切です。第2言語は、第1言語の学力に比例して伸びるためです。本校は、二つの文化がバランスよく融合した教育を行います。ネィティブによる英語の授業では、人との違いを自然に受け入れる態度や、日本の良いところ、外国の良いところを上手に使い分けていく力も身につきます。教師は皆、研究熱心でフレンドリーに子どもたちを教えます。教科学習や行事を通して2つの文化を学ぶことは、これからの時代の「生きる力」に確実につながることを信じています。
Felice provides a safe and nurturing environment for students to prosper. Every classroom fosters a unique community and the teachers assist each child in developing their own potential and learning styles. We take in consideration each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to the students’ lives. We incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, and individual work that engage and activate students’ learning.

毎日の授業や生活の中で日本語を大切にすることで、日本の文化も大切にできる子どもを育てて行きたいと考えています。本校の特色として、こども園から英語中心の教育をしていることからも、多様なものの見方や考え方ができるということは、これからの国際社会を担っていく子ども達にとって大切な力になります。相手の意見や思いを尊重し自分の考えを伝え合う力＝豊かな表現力を身につけさせる取組みをしています。
本校の国語の特徴としては、子ども達のコミュニケーション力や文章の読解力、伝わりやすい文章作成に不可欠な国語力を伸ばすために「国語の知識」と「教養・感性・価値観」の両面から教育を推進しています。前者は基礎基本を大切にした漢字やことばの学習を行い、毎年1月に行われる漢字能力検定試験では、9割以上の合格率をあげています。後者は、テーマを決めた全校作文指導や読書活動の充実などがあげられます。

We provide speaking, listening, reading and writing instruction enabling students to build their vocabulary with confidence. We help students improve comprehension through a variety of activities including games, technology and presentations.
We focus on building effective communication skills so that students can understand and express their ideas in a variety of communication. We train them leadership by collaborating effectively and willingly with others.

本校で行うスピーキング、リスニング、リーディング、ライティングの指導は児童の言語力を高めます。また、テクノロジー機器の活用や、ゲーム、発表などのさまざまな活動を通して、英語での理解力を高めます。
本校では、さまざまなコミュニケーション方法を身に付け、相手を理解し、また自分の気持ちや考えを表現できるように、有効なコミュニケーションスキルを獲得することに重点を置いています。また、他者との協力を通じて、リーダーシップを高める指導を行っています。
本校では、児童が「わかった」「できた」という喜びや充実感を持て、算数が面白いと感じるように取り組んでいます。そのためには、基礎的な知識や技能の徹底と思考力・判断力・表現力の育成に力を入れています。具体的には、児童が興味関心の高まる課題の設定から、予習や復習の家庭学習を生かした授業や、課題から答えを導く方法を大切にした授業などを工夫して行っています。児童が答えを導く過程や考え方を大切にし、考えることの面白さが、子どもの数学的な考え方を高めて成長させています。
Working at Felice for over 10 years, I can confidently say that Felice has always been true to its Christian Foundations. From early education in Kindergarten, children learn that God loves all and if we believe and trust in God, we will go to heaven. Children learn about trust, love, and faithfulness at an early age, enabling them to look at the world through open and loving eyes. Even in Elementary, we do not stray from this, we believe in teaching children right and wrong, acceptance, and tolerance. We expect our students to love all of God’s children and we hope that the teachings of the Bible can better prepare them for the world. 本校の理科室は、スマートボードと大型TVが常設され。大きな実験台が6台置かれた横長の教室です。さらに、1学級が20名定員のため児童と教師の距離が近く、実験を行うにはとても良い環境です。5・6年生の授業を理科専科が担当し、「調べたいこと」「実験したいこと」「気づいたこと」「考えたこと」を表現できる児童を育成するために、知識・技能の定着を確かなものとすることを目標として授業を展開しています。また、現地での尾瀬学習やぐんま天文台の星の観察を行い、自然の事物・現象についての理解を図ったり、自然を愛する心情を養ったりしています。
Life Science at Felice International School is designed and planned to discover the students’ self-growth, family life and the world they live in. This subject provides opportunities for curiosity and creativity while learning the English language. Through hands-on activities, play, interaction, field trips and classroom discussions, the students enjoy learning more about themselves and their role in the society. フェリーチェ玉村国際小学校のLife Science(生活)の授業は、児童が自己の成長を見つめ、家庭生活や自分たちの住む世界への理解を深められるように構成されています。教科学習を通して、英語を学びながら児童の好奇心を高め、創造力を伸ばします。実践的な活動やあそび、交流、校外学習、クラスディスカッションなどを通じて、自分自身のことや社会における自身の役割について楽しく学ぶことができます。また、批判的かつ想像を超えた思考を児童に促すことにより、学習者の自信、協調性、柔軟性を高めます。生活科での学びは、英語の語いやフレーズの学習にとどまりません。学びを楽しみながら、積極的で高い思考力をもつ学習者へと児童を導く内容となっています。
本校の社会科の学習では、社会的事象に対して様々な見方や考え方を身に付けることができるような指導を大切にしています。授業の中で課題に対して、追及したり、解決に導いたりする活動を取り入れ、個人やペアで考える時間を作っています。社会科の学習が始まる３年生では、身近な社会について理解を深めます。学年が上がっていくに伴い、より深く、考えを追及していけるような工夫を取り入れながら、子どもたちの「なぜこうなっているのか？」という疑問や、学習の中での発見を取り上げ、自分の言葉でまとめ、ふりかえるようにしています。
Art Classes at Felice adhere to the Japanese Art curriculum. However, the teachers incorporate and find inspiration from diverse Art styles from all around the world. This allows the students to cultivate a more global perspective in the world of Art. The Art class is an avenue for students to explore their creativity and uniqueness. It inspires the children to express their ideas through drawing, painting, and creating various Art projects. Students are able to produce creative outputs that demonstrate their own style. It allows the students to develop various art techniques, time management, patience, and hardwork. They are able to critically analyze and reflect on their works as well as others through self and peer evaluation. Art is a class that many Felice students enjoy and love because it is a great way for them to showcase their talents and their artistic skills.
フェリーチェでは、日本の教育課程に準拠した図工の指導を行っています。しかしながら、本校の教員は、世界中の多様な美術様式からもインスピレーションを得、それを授業に取り入れています。これにより、児童の芸術性における国際的な視野を広げることができます。児童にとって図工の授業は、創造力や独自性を探求するための手段です。絵を描いたり色を塗ったり、様々な作品制作への取り組みが、児童の表現意欲を高め、自分のスタイルで創造的な作品を作ることができるようになります。そして、このことが、児童の技術、時間管理能力、忍耐力、熱心に取り組む力を育てます。また、自己・相互評価を通して、児童は自分の作品だけでなく、他の作品についても批判的に分析し、考察することができるようになります。図工は、フェリーチェ生にとって、自分の才能や芸術力を発揮できる素晴らしい機会であり、楽しみながら学ぶことのできる授業です。
